TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Adjunct Faculty, Westwood College, Chicago, IL, Graphics & Design dept., March 2010 – present.
Intro to Animation: Course covers film animation techniques, history, and theory with technical instruction in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and digital frame capture software. Traditional, hand-drawn, and digital animation methods are utilized.

Adjunct Faculty, DePaul University, Chicago, IL, School of Computer Science and Digital Media, March 2006 - November 2008. Taught over twenty sections of the following courses:
"Motion Design": Self-authored course established in September 2006 as part of requirement for Digital Cinema, Game Design, and Animation majors. Covers foundations of art and design, composition and color theory, and visual aesthetics as applied to digital time-based media. Advanced technical instruction given in Adobe Photoshop and Flash.
Animation 101 & 201: An introductory course to the art of animation.
Animation 3: Advanced production workshop focuses on the completion of one significant animated piece. Advanced topics in theory also discussed.

Instructor, Evanston Art Center, Evanston, IL, 2005-2007.
Digital Animation: An introductory course for children age 8-16 in the art of computer graphics and animation in Photoshop and Flash.

Teaching Assistant, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 2002-2004.
Animation 1, 2, and 4-D: Assisted professors with various classes in animation, film/video production, visual design, and performance arts.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

SOFTWARE/TECHNICAL SKILLS: Film and HD video camera experience, knowledge of cinematic lighting, sound, and cinematography. Experienced with green screen (color key) set-ups. Highly proficient, expert level use on both Mac and PC systems with the following software: Adobe Creative Suite applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Premiere; Final Cut Studio: Final Cut Pro HD, DVD Studio Pro, Soundtrack; ProTools. Hand and Vector-based drawing skills. Microsoft Office suite (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Very familiar with Mac OS X, iLife and iWork. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Wordpress.
